Fyrebird Recovery relies on community care to make harm reduction possible. Our volunteers play a vital role in supporting health, dignity, and access to care for people across Horry County. Whether you’re behind the scenes or out in the community, your time and compassion matter.
We offer several volunteer opportunities, each grounded in respect, confidentiality, and nonjudgmental support.
Delivery Driver
Support our programs by helping transport supplies, kits, and materials to outreach locations and community partners. This role is essential to keeping resources moving where they’re needed most. we do cover some mileage reimbursement!
Compassion Harvest Volunteer
Assist with sorting, preparing, and distributing food and essential items through our Compassion Harvest efforts. This role focuses on meeting basic needs with care and consistency. you will be working with our resource center and helping with in house operations
Project Umbrella Volunteer
This role is for those with lived experience preferred in sex work , substance use, and or mental health. This volunteer will assist with our night outreach, sex work kits, advocacy, and education in community settings.
Outreach Volunteer
Work alongside staff and peer navigators during outreach to help distribute supplies, share resources, and support harm reduction efforts in the community. Training and guidance are provided.
